In the wake of the recent mass shooting at a Texas elementary school, members of March for Our Lives, a youth-led organization dedicated to eliminating the epidemic of gun violence, are urging people to join them in a protest on Saturday in Washington D.C. and across the nation. The group’s aim is to implore Congress to pass universal background checks.

We all want to experience life satisfaction and emotional health. But getting to that place is another matter. From lockdowns to isolation, ongoing racial injustice to political turmoil, lost lives and lost jobs, these past couple of years have tested our minds and bodies in profound ways. In what has quickly become an incredibly popular podcast, "Addy Hour," hosted by APB exclusive speaker Dr. Nii Addy, explores topics at the intersection of brain science, mental health, faith, culture and social justice.

Dr. Michael J. Sorrell, APB speaker and President of Paul Quinn College in Dallas, was recently honored with the J. Erik Jonsson Award. The annual award is given to individuals who epitomize the spirit of moral leadership and public virtue by Southern Methodist University’s Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics & Public Responsibility.

APB speaker Melissa Berton, Cofounder and Executive Director of The Pad Project, was recently named to Forbes magazine’s 50 Over 50 List of Women Who Are Leading the Way in Impact. We are excited to share with you the release of Mickey Rowe's distinct and important new memoir, Fearlessly Different: An Autistic Actor’s Journey to Broadway's Biggest Stage. Rowe, founder and artistic director of the National Disability Theatre, was the epicenter of significant publicity when he became the first autistic actor to play Christopher Boone, the lead role in the Tony Award-winning play “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.”
