Season three of Tell Me More With Kelly Corrigan has begun airing on PBS stations across the country. The series brings together a wide array of guests and touches on topics that truly matter in today’s climate, according to PBS. In each one-hour episode, Corrigan explores her guests' universal humanity and passions. This season, Corrigan, who is an exclusive APB speaker, talks with world-class contributors, like Samantha Power, Judd Apatow, Kevin Young and Anna Deavere Smith. She also interviews her old friend Kate Bowler, new friends Robin Roberts and Lilly Singh, and good Samaritans Richard Lui, Father Greg Boyle and Anthony Ray Hinton.  

Limbitless Solutions, a company co-founded by APB speaker Dr. Albert Manero, was recently featured in an article in Today’s Medical Developments. The non-profit organization headquartered at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando specializes in creating and donating personalized, creative and expressive 3D-printed bionic arms for children. The article focused on the growth of the company, which was started by UCF students in 2014. Because of supply chain issues, Limbitless Solutions has purchased additional machinery to manufacture parts in-house—allowing it to do so much more. 

Patient Safety Awareness Week, observed every March, encourages all of us to learn more about healthcare safety. With deep sadness and great respect, we mourn the passing of Archbishop Desmond Tutu who has been a member of the APB family for decades. An iconic Nobel Laureate and human rights activist, Archbishop Tutu was known for tirelessly spreading peace, justice and democracy. A world leader and beacon of hope for all, he was once described by longtime friend Nelson Mandela as “Sometimes strident, often tender, never afraid and seldom without humor.” APB will forever feel grateful for having known and worked with such an incredible human being.

It's hard to believe we are coming to the close of yet another year battling the COVID-19 pandemic. We've never been more grateful to have clients and speakers who have continued to collaborate with us through the chaos of it all. From virtual to in-person events, together we found new ways to continue to do what we love best: provide a way for people to see exciting personalities, world leaders, activists and innovators, unedited and unfiltered by mass media.

It began as a beautiful fall-like morning in New York City and Washington, D.C. And yet, less than two hours later, it turned out to be one of the darkest days in American history. APB would like to take a moment to honor the 2,977 victims and fallen heroes of the 9/11 attacks. It’s been 20 years, but we will never forget the courage and selfless acts of our first responders and passengers on United Flight 93 and those who were killed in the Twin Towers and at the Pentagon. May they rest in peace.

In an effort to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations in communities of color, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy and members of the White House Corona Virus response team recently met with former surgeons general to discuss advancing equity in our country’s COVID-19 response. Those who joined the meeting included exclusive APB speakers and former surgeons general Drs. M. Joycelyn Elders, David Satcher, Richard Carmona, Regina Benjamin and Jerome Adams. The physicians met to discuss how they could work together to ensure that communities of color have the information and access they need for vaccination.
