Written by APB Exclusive Speaker, Samantha Harris: I know, I know – “keep your heart healthy” seems to be a constant headline, especially during Heart Health Month. We all understand this by now. That said, how exactly to do it the right way seems to always have conflicting information circulating.

An emergency room physician and sought-after healthcare speaker, Dr. Sampson Davis appeared on The Dr. Oz Show to discuss heart attack causes and prevention—a timely topic, as February marks Heart Health Month.

APB is proud to offer an extensive roster of today’s leading health and wellness speakers who educate and engage audiences on hot-button healthcare topics and emerging trends of the day. Recently, Fast Company published an article focusing on the top health and wellness trends of 2019. In it, they highlight several startups creating innovative solutions for accessible healthcare in addition to increased access to luxurious, yet affordable, wellness tools.

Advocate, artist and APB speaker Regina Holliday started a medical advocacy blog after her husband passed away from poor care and a lack of access to his own medical data. Holliday created this forum to be “a place where art, medicine, social media and pop-culture collide and create a patient voice in health information technology.” Since 2009, she has used her art to give a platform to those demanding healthcare policies for better quality patient treatment and safety. As an experienced painter, Holliday attends medical conferences and live paints stories on canvases as told by fellow advocates and patients. Over time, she developed and created The Medical Advocacy Mural Project.

We’re honored that two of our most inspiring APB exclusive speakers have been invited to appear on the Main Stage at PCMA Convening Leaders. Steve Pemberton and Nadya Okamoto share their inspiring stories of grit and resilience, proving that life experiences can uniquely position all of us to change the world for the better. The pair will be interviewed by Main Stage facilitator Holly Ransom.

Recently, APB speaker Kim Campbell and her children hosted the first annual Glen Campbell Memorial Celebrity Golf Outing in honor of the late musician. Held at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, the Outing raised money to help fund research for studies on the effects music has on brain health. Celebrities, friends of Glen and the Campbell family, and donors attended the event to celebrate Campbell’s life and love for golf.
