As co-founder of Trail Mix Ventures, APB's Soraya Darabi has already invested in 16 companies devoted to health and wellness. In a recent interview with Glossy, she and co-founder Will Nathan weigh in on trends in the wellness space, specifically how the younger generation is increasingly more likely to spend money on experiences over items.

In her Parade magazine feature story, Kim Campbell shares her experience being a full-time caretaker for husband Glen Campbell as he battled Alzheimer's. When his condition began to decline, she made the difficult decision to get help from a residential program: “Glen needed a specialized environment with people trained to take care of him.” After overcoming the stigma that she "was putting her husband in a home," Kim and her children were finally able to take time for themselves, as they were given “peace of mind that no matter what time of day it was, Glen was being checked on and cared for and loved.” They also found themselves in a new community with other families going through the same situation and offering each other support.

The highly anticipated docuseries Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story produced by Jay Z and featuring APB's Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, premiers July 30th on the Paramount Network.

An Oscar nominated screenwriter, speaker Allison Schroeder recently co-wrote the screenplay for the new Disney movie Christopher Robin. Highly anticipated, the film follows "Christopher Robin," now an adult, as he and childhood friend "Winnie the Pooh" return to the Hundred Acre Wood. Touching on themes of friendship and appreciating life's simple pleasures, the movie will not only draw new fans, but will strike a chord with the generation that grew up with this classic tale.
