Biography

Chris Colfer is a Golden Globe-winning, Emmy and SAG Award nominated actor, #1 New York Times bestselling author, screenwriter and producer. Colfer received a Golden Globe, two consecutive Emmy nominations, three People's Choice Awards, a SAG nomination, and two Teen Choice Awards for his work as Kurt Hummel on the worldwide television phenomenon GLEE. Among many honors, Colfer has been included in the TIME 100, Time Magazine's distinguished annual list of the one hundred most influential people in the world.

Colfer is the author of nineteen books, including the multi-million-copy #1 New York Times bestselling series The Land of Stories, a fast-paced adventure that combines our modern-day world with the enchanting realm of classic fairytales. The worldwide phenomenon has been sold in 35 countries and spent more than 100 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. In addition to the six bestselling core novels, the series has expanded to include a #1 New York Times bestselling prequel series, A Tale of Sorcery... A Tale of Magic... and A Tale of Witchcraft...; as well as children’s picture books, audiobooks, in-world chapter books, a classic fairytale collection, an ultimate insider’s series guide, and a graphic novel.

Colfer’s other work includes the Netflix series RIDLEY JONES opposite Andrew Rannells, Sutton Foster and Jane Lynch, and the upcoming Jennifer Clary-directed animated musical feature THE POTTERS. Previously, Colfer starred in the independent film STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, which he also wrote and executive produced. Brian Dannelly (SAVED!) directed the coming-of-age comedy released by Tribeca Film and starred Allison Janney, Dermot Mulroney, and Rebel Wilson.
